Howard Kohr
Executive director of AIPAC
As the leader of AIPAC, the largest pro-Israel lobby in the United States and perhaps the most influential foreign policy lobbying group on Capitol Hill, Howard Kohr is the chief advocate in Washington, D.C., for the safety and security of the Jewish state, of particular import during turbulent times. He is routinely praised by members of both parties for his insight, leadership and good counsel on key issues. Not only does AIPAC inform and bolster U.S.-Israel relations, it allows for the participation for Jews in America who want to support the Jewish state. Kohr’s dedication to the Jewish people is influenced by his father, who escaped from Dachau after five years and then was wounded in action while fighting for the Haganah during Israel’s War of Independence.
