Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, Chabad’s central educational organization, one of today’s chief leaders and public faces of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, is the former secretary to the late Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem M. For years, Krinsky has been named by Newsweek as one of the most influential rabbis in the United States, and has achieved the No. 1 spot more than once. He has said of his appearance on the Newsweek list: “It’s not me: It’s Chabad-Lubavitch. It’s the largest Jewish organization in the world, and it’s the shluchim [emissaries].”
