President Barack Obama’s only goal in the Middle East is to have new leadership installed in Israel, Senator Lindsay Graham said in an address to the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) last week.
According to one attendee, Graham told the audience “the president isn’t working for anything in the Middle East except for regime change in Israel,” National Review Online reported.
Answering a question about his prospective presidential candidacy, Graham told the audience he is not sure he can raise enough funds for a successful bid. However, National Review Online noted that he may find help from groups such as the RJC, backed by casino magnate and GOP donor Sheldon Adelson.
Adelson, attracted by both Graham’s support for Israel and his opposition to Internet gambling, donated to Graham’s Senate campaign in the last cycle.
