The head of the Badr Organization, an Iranian Shi’a proxy militia, Hadi al-Ameri – who is also a member of the Iraqi Parliament – credited Iranian general Qasem Soleimani with halting the advance of the Islamic State terror organization in Iraq.

Addressing concern over the extensive presence of Iranian military personnel in Iraq, al-Ameri said, “whoever is talking about the Iranian advisors must give them respect and honor, for if not for them or the presence of the brother Qasem Soleimani (the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Quds Force), Iraq would have been entirely under the control of ISIS, and the Iraqi people must erect a statue to this hero out of gratitude and recognition.”

He added that “the presence of the Iranian experts who are accompanying the Hashed Al-Shaabi [popular committee] forces in the battles going on in Salahuddin province is a source of pride.”

He then questioned the “sensitivity of some over the presence of Iranian advisors, even though there are over 4 thousand American advisors in Iraq?!”

IDF Chief: Israel Seeking to Prevent Iran From Becoming North Korea of the Middle East

Israel’s goal is to “prevent Iran from becoming the North Korea” of the Middle East, IDF Chief of Staff Lt....

Al-Ameri, in an interview with As-Sharq Al-Awsat that took place on the front in Salahuddin province and close to its center of Tikrit – where he is leading Badr’s fighters – said that, “Iranian advisors accompany us on the field of battle and offer the best expertise and advice, and we are proud of them, and they will join us in the effort to liberate Ninwah and Al-Anbar entirely, after we liberate Tikrit and Kirkuk.”

On the other hand, Al-Ameri warned, “our brothers the residents of Salahuddin province, and Al-Anbar and Mosul, do not trust the American forces, because they are incapable of liberating one Iraqi village…today your own people are the ones who are capable of liberating Iraq’s lands from the impurity of ISIS,” noting, “the participation of our brothers in the Islamic Republic [of Iran], without anything in return, in contrast to what the Americans are doing, after they gave us weapons for a price from Iraq’s own money and place thousands of limitations on their use.”

Al-Ameri said that these conditions and limitations were a clear indication of the US Administration’s “hatred for the people of Al-Anbar and Salahuddin.”

The US Administration has noted its concern over the presence of Iranian forces and advisors on the ground, fighting alongside Iraqi forces to liberate Tikrit from ISIS, according to Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter.

Meanwhile, as the Iraqi army – supported by the Hashed Al-Shaabi forces and Iranian experts – continued its operations in the northern sector of Tikrit, the “Sulaymaniyah Forum” concluded with a speech from US General David Petraeus – former commander of US forces in Iraq and later the director of the CIA. Petraeus, who has now returned to Iraq in a civilian role, has said that “You can leave Iraq, but Iraq will not leave you.” Petraeus noted the need for a “moderate force on the ground in Iraq,” praising the Kurdish peshmerga’s role in fighting ISIS.

  • The world may well have to get used to an America which no longer has any interest in the Middle East – Iran or no Iran, ISIS or no ISIS.

Middle East importance reduces as US home-‘grown’shale oil and gas develops and comes on stream.

Do NOT be surprised if Obama’s successor, whoever he or she is, and whichever Party he or she comes from, lands up in exactly the same position- insouciance to the whole Middle Eastern mess!

The credit to Iranian General Qasem Soleiamiwith saving Iraq from Islamic State is in fact nothing more than part of Iran’s aggressive major agenda of taking contol over the whole Arab World. This will only be sharply accellerated when Iran gets the Nuclear Bomb shortly with President Obamas assistance.Following this will be the attack on the free western world which Obama regretabbly cannot see!

I know that we as American’s, unfortunately, are not being told the truth about most of what is going on in Iraq. We are a generous people with the misfortune of having a selfish boy as our president. We will wait to get the whole story about the Iranians who crossed into Iraq last week, and i’m sure they are playing a vital part in exterminating Isis regardless of what the press prints…etc…etc…etc. We only want the truth, and if Isis wants to blame innocent people, men, women and children for their plight, let it be known that GOD will be their judge, and he will be the one to finish them off. Heaven help us….

The Obama strategy extends its losing streak. It was clear 9 months ago that Iran had put its toes in Iraq and it should have been expected. Iran could not let the Sunni ISIS run over Iraq. Iran was already involved in Syria and with Hezbollah and they had to see this as compelling and an opportunity. Iran had already sized up Obama and had his pants halfway off by that time which meant any American commitment was going to be very limited. Soleimani touched down in Iraq in June. He’s a good soldier in a traditional sense and has turned things around in Iraq. The accolades are right and deserved. We will undoubtedly see more of the US on the ropes because no one is in charge in DC. I’m very unimpressed with most of top US military leadership who seem to follow the Obama line of PC inclusion, sexual issues, getting our traitors home, and how to attract more muslims into the services. The 2016 election is critical for America and Israel.

This is to be expected when the military is obligated to be under civilian control. The problem isn’t with the military, it’s with the president.

The lack of leadership in foreign policy by the micro-management of BHO, the Advisers Philips & Rhodes, his powerhouse Susan Rice and Valerie Jarrett, last but not least yachtsman John Kerry. This crew with their alleged genius managed to undo 7 years of fighting, loss of American sons and daughters but we controlled the ground the political situation was not perfect but stable and being worked on. YOU managed to lose control of the land and political situation. You overthrew by dictate an elected official; great democratic lesson and told the Kurds you have their back and then didn’t deliver on weapons at a critical time because you wanted to be PC go through the Central government as people were being killed. Your lack of military service oops I forgot John with 3 months. For G-d sake your blowing the whole region and soon with Iran you can claim a continent just for a moment of glory. Your goIng down In hIstory ALL of you.
If I were an IraqI soldier lacking confidence and Iranian advisers volunteer to share the danger and go and fight with me against scary ISIS and the American Advisers won’t just who am I going to bond with especially within Muslim culture? The guys on the ground (Americans) are begging their superiors Stateside to go but it’s not a military decision but a political one from the Commander In Chief who has no clue. The military should be calling the military calls. BHO so far your team is screwing unless your intent is to lose Iraq to Iran as some convoluted reward.

It’s not true that the Obama presidential library will be in Tehran.

  • Please stay in Iraq Petraeus !
