Obama Parts With Dempsey, Welcomes Dunford as US Military’s Top Officer

President Obama bade farewell Friday to Gen. Martin Dempsey, a key adviser who counseled caution in committing U.S. troops to conflict in the Middle East.

Obama called Dempsey “one of the finest men I know.”
