An Israeli news team was attacked on Thursday evening by an angry crowd of onlookers, near the site of a stabbing attack that had taken place shortly beforehand in the northern Israeli city of Afula, Israel’s Channel 2 reported.

Channel 2 reporter Porat Nassar, photographer Shimon Levi and soundman Yaakov Hershkovitz had arrived at the scene to report on the attack, which left an IDF soldier critically wounded.

As they worked, a group of Afula residents began to surround them, hurling epithets against the media in general and Channel 2 in particular. Some shoved and began to hit them. Hershkovitz was lightly injured and was evacuated to the city’s Emek Medical Center for treatment.
