Iron Dome Fires Interceptor After Falsely Detecting Gaza Rocket

The Iron Dome missile defense system fired an interceptor at what was thought to be a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. It turned out to be a false alarm, however, and it is still unclear what triggered the system.
No injuries or damage were reported.
