Iran’s top brass claimed on Tuesday that most of its missiles are capable of reaching Israel, the regime-aligned news agency Tasnim reported.
Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said that while all of the “enemies of the Islamic Revolution” should fear Tehran’s missiles, Israel should be particularly concerned.
Jafari made these comments on the sidelines of Iran’s ongoing ballistic-missile drill — code-named “Might of the Guardianship” — which entered its final stage on Tuesday.
Jafari said the drill clearly demonstrated that all of the IRGC’s missile silos are fully operational, emphasizing that Iran had achieved such a feat despite the pressure of Western-imposed sanctions.
Iran has repeatedly stressed it would not halt or decelerate progress on its ballistic missiles as a result of the nuclear deal signed with western powers last summer.
