JNS.org – A major Jewish organization expressed concern over white supremacist fliers with antisemitic content.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) said it is “troubled” by the fliers, circulated by the Ku Klux Klan, which accuse Jews of controlling money in the US.

The fliers, which were found in upstate New York, Long Island and the Hamptons, stated: “Wake up white America! Jews control the money in America. Period. End of Storry. Zionist Jews own and run the Federal Reserve Bank. Join us to stop Zionist control over your government.”

The fliers also insulted African Americans and members of the LGBTQ community, whom they called an “abomination.”

However, the ADL said, the prevalence of white supremacist groups in the US is waning.

“In spite of the decline of the Ku Klux Klan groups across the country, the classic Klan hateful rhetoric found in upstate New York serves as a stark reminder that they still actively seek to disseminate their vile messages,” said Evan R. Bernstein, ADL New York Regional Director.

“While it may be quite concerning to come across such a flier in one’s own neighborhood, the reality is that few longstanding groups still exist,” he said.

There are currently 30 active Klan groups in the US, with about 3,000 members, according to figures by ADL’s Center on Extremism.
