Israeli President Reuven Rivlin hosted a pre-Yom Kippur prayer service on Monday evening at the synagogue of his official residence in Jerusalem.

In footage of the moving service posted on Facebook, he is seen singing the traditional “Avinu Malkanu” (“Our Father, Our King”) melody for the Jewish High Holidays. The prayer is part of the selichot liturgy, the recitation of penitential poems and prayers.
