The relative of an anti-Zionist Knesset member released a video of herself standing at Jerusalem’s Western Wall in full Islamic garb and declaring her allegiance to Israel, activist blogger Elder of Ziyon reported on Thursday.
Wearing a hijab in the video, Sara Zoabi — an Arab-Israeli and cousin of notorious Joint List MK Haneen Zoabi, who not only defends Palestinian terrorism, but participated in the infamous 2010 “Free Gaza Flotilla,” which sparked the severing of (recently restored) diplomatic relations between Israel and Turkey — says in Hebrew, “I believe the Jewish people have the right to have a state, in the Holy Land, the Land of Israel. It is well deserved.”
She goes on to praise the state of Israel and the Jewish nation for “respecting everyone, regardless of religion, race, gender,” and for welcoming “everyone to enter this place where Jews pray, to visit and feel the excitement [of the Kotel] for themselves.”
She concludes with the line, “Am yisrael hai ve’kayam” — “The nation of Israel lives and endures.”
Sara is the mother of Mohammad Zoabi, who released a video in 2014 denouncing his cousin, Haneen, as a supporter of terrorism and telling her to “get the hell out of Israel.”
As The Algemeiner reported last year, she was catapulted to the spotlight when she appeared as a contestant on the popular cooking show “MasterChef Israel,” and introduced herself to viewers as an “Arab, Muslim, Israeli, proud Zionist” from the northern city of Nazareth. When one of the show’s judges asked her to elaborate, she said, “I believe in the right of the Jewish people to have their own country, which is the state of Israel, the holy land.”
“I’m sure that the people who hear me will say: ‘What, have you lost your mind? How can you say you are a Zionist?’ I want to say to all the Arab [citizens] of Israel to wake up,” she continued. “We live in paradise. Compared to other countries, to Arab countries – we live in paradise.”
