A Texas pre-school teacher fired on Wednesday for encouraging followers to “kill some Jews” on social media prior to her employment expressed remorse for her offensive comments on Thursday.

Nancy Salem told the local Arlington news station CBS11 that she made her “racist and antisemitic” comments when she was a teenager, and that they “are not a reflection of the beliefs I hold today.”

“These statements were made at a time when I was not strong in my faith; nor do they reflect the family values of inclusivity and respect for all faiths that my parents have worked very hard to instill in us,” she said.

The young “often get involved with individuals that influence their behaviors and not always for the better, and I deeply regret having been influenced in such a way,” Salem said, adding that it “does not excuse my actions and I am truly sorry for the pain and hurt my words caused, especially to members of the Jewish faith.”

Citing her Muslim-American and Palestinian heritage, Salem said, “I am all too accustomed to being bullied and the target of hate speech, so the fact that I made such statements is even more offensive, because I should have known and acted with more compassion.”

Addressing her termination at The Children’s Courtyard pre-school, first reported by The Algemeiner, Salem said, “I take full responsibility for my past statements and respect the actions my employer took to address the concerns as a result.”

Salem was among 24 anti-Israel activists exposed earlier this month by covert campus watchdog group Canary Mission for expressing racist and violent sentiments online. An activist associated with the University of Texas, Arlington chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, Salem used her now disabled Twitter account to post such remarks as: “How many Jews died in the Holocaust? Not enough…HAHAHAHA” and “Gassed a Jew. I’m sweating. Heil.”

After being outed and lost her job, she suddenly became a reformed bigot. Really???

Looks like a SJW hit was used against this muslim, yet it obviously did not come from your traditional SJWs.
So, yes, we can use the same techniques to get the desired results.
I mean, let’s face it: the technique of digging up dirt on somebody and beating them over the head with it has worked extremely well for the leftist SJWs. Europe was brought down using this technique, and others, so hell yes—it can work for us as well.
    Bye Bye Nancy.
Muslims should not even be in our Western schools indoctrinating our kids in the first place.

Yeah, and roast pork wiill be kosher if she’s telling the truth now! She was doing this all not that long ago at university. She got caught out and is trying to put the best face on (there’s always more than two…)

I just don’t believe her spin. Notice that she was VERY careful to say Jewish ‘faith’ and not Jewish ‘people.’

Caught with burqaa up to her neck? Hijab in her mouth? Panties down to her ankles? Following childhoods of being chased by horny brothers, fathers and uncles, Muslim girls could be top Olympic track-and-field stars, if only parents and imams allowed participation. Palestinian Islamic Jihad develops and reserves such stealth for mass-murder of Jews.

Oh, so SHE’S the victim of harassment, bullying, and hate speech? See what she did there…

One of the complications of bringing large numbers of Syrian and other Islamist asylum seekers into the USA is that they often bring with them a virulent anti-Semitism.

  • henrytobias

    Crocodile tears.

  • Harvela

As always the apology comes only when caught out.Its meaningless.

  • Leslie Benjamini

Fake apology, crocodile tears, no one believes you, go back where you came from. You are everything America isn’t.

Nancy Salem as a devout Muslim you are required to abide by the orders of allah through Mohammad. If you do not do this then you are a ‘Hippocrate’? So what are you? You certainly do not belong in a non Muslim school where you have to teach the biddings of your death god allah.

The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called ‘hypocrites’ and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter.

Is it just me, or are the ads above cheesy or what ? Give me a break, folks, check out the two ads. above of the woman looking down at her privates, and the one to the right of it “spoon of this (before bed”). No, no, no, believe me, these people operate on this level, always have in advertising. I say screw them.

Actions have consequences and she thoroughly deserved the consequences she received.

When you are caught red-handed, there is not much else you can say, is there? I actually support Canary Mission and what they do. They will follow up what is said on campus, and follow the results, it is somewhat gratifying.

They learn their Jew-hate poison on their mother’s knee, in their mosques and in their unholy Qur’an.
Make no mistake: she is not unique, she is typical.

  • Reuven

I don’t think her apology is sincere andf i, for one, don’t accept it.

  • beninabox

How is she now, and when did she make the antisemitic statements?

We all recognize the possibility of teshuva, as so well illustrated by the book of Jonah, the haftarah reading during maftir of Yom Kippur. Whether this young woman is sincere in her remorse is known only by Hashem, but we should always try to give people the benefit of the doubt (while still looking back over our shoulder). We pray that they will change their ways and that an enemy will have become our friend, not that they will be punished. Sometimes a life-changing event will make one become introspective and change one’s ways. Words, however, are only the first step in teshuvah. Action must follow.

It would be of value to have this person engage in dialogue with other Muslim Arabs who have come to adopt a balanced approach to the Israel/Palestine situation while still understanding and being sympathetic to the slights that Arabs from the region often feel. There are two sides to every coin, but open-minded individuals will be able to observe both of them.

remorse or taqqiya? those postings were at university, which is a place for adults, and “an activist” with sjp isn’t exactly just an offhand remark posted online.

    • SAWolf

Remorse at being caught, taqiyya, definitely.

  • Mike AU

Sorry @fancynancyxxo, I’m not buying your fake
apologies. On the 18 June 2016 you wished Dana
Amar happy birthday on social media. Dana is the
Vice President of SJP UTA and refers to Hamas as
“freedom fighters” when in fact they are “terrorists”.
This was only 8 months ago ? You have a continues
relationship with antisemites of which you are one,
as well as a habitual liar. Your fake apology was well
    rehearsed !
