Boys at a Jewish day school in Florida finished their morning prayer services in the adjacent parking lot on Monday morning, when the premises were evacuated due to a bomb threat.

The high school students — from the David Posnack Jewish Day School, a K-12 college preparatory academy in Davie — were filmed in their prayer shawls and phylacteries reading from a Torah propped on the hood of a car, and dancing with the scroll.

The David Posnack Jewish Day School was among at least 21 US Jewish community centers and day schools that received bomb threats on Monday, which turned out to be false alarms.

Following the evacuation, the school released a statement saying that it was “greatly appreciative of local, county and national law enforcement agencies and campus security for their vigilance in ensuring the safety of our students and staff. We also want to express our deepest appreciation to our students and parents for their cooperation and assistance.”
