JNS.org – In a showcase of cutting-edge Israeli innovation at a Sunday session of the AIPAC Policy Conference, renowned lawyer Alan Dershowitz assisted in the unveiling of a machine that extracts and purifies water from air.
The Water-Gen machine, which can produce between 15 and 20 liters of drinking water per day, can be a boon for regions lacking portable drinking water, Dershowitz noted.
“There is no weapon more powerful in the fight against BDS than for Israel to develop technologies that the world cannot live without,” he added. “You cannot boycott products that you can’t live without.”
During the presentation at a Washington, DC convention center, AIPAC National Managing Director Elliot Brandt recalled Zionist leader Theodor Herzl’s dreams of Israeli innovation.
The annual AIPAC Policy Conference ends Tuesday.
