JNS.org – As the world marks the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on Monday, the Jewish National Fund (JNF) is hosting and participating in various memorial events in the US and Israel to honor American first responders.
Thousands of Israeli citizens, Israeli officials and US combat veterans will join US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman at the 9/11 Living Memorial in Jerusalem to express gratitude to first responders for their contributions and sacrifices.
The memorial, donated by JNF World Chairman Council member Edward Blank, was constructed in 2009 in the foothills of Israel’s capital city.
“We are very pleased to recognize our brave first responders for their contributions and sacrifices to our nation and to our local communities, and to share our mutual respect while we honor those who fell during the attacks,” Blank said.
