JNS.org – A 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist was arrested by the Israeli Border Police on Tuesday in possession of a knife at the entrance to Hebron’s Cave of the Patriarchs — one of the holiest sites in Judaism — in the fourth such incident since early November.

After the terrorist attempted to enter the holy site through a security checkpoint, police discovered that he was concealing a box cutter and detained him for further questioning.

On Nov. 27, a 16-year-old Palestinian terrorist was arrested outside the Cave of the Patriarchs in possession of a knife. Days before that incident, a 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist attempted to enter the site with a knife hidden in his shirt. A similar incident occurred on Nov. 9.

The latest instance of attempted terrorism at the Cave of the Patriarchs came after a Palestinian terrorist stabbed an Israeli security guard in the heart at the entrance to the Jerusalem Central Bus Station on Sunday. The terrorist was apprehended, while the security guard remains in serious condition.
