JNS.org – According to Israeli police, a Palestinian man yielding a screwdriver attempted to stab an Israeli at a gas station in the Mishor Adumim industrial zone just outside the Jewish city of Ma’ale Adumim to the east of Jerusalem. The perpetrator was shot in the head by an armed civilian before he could stab the Israeli, who suffered no injuries.
According to the police, the civilian who shot the would-be terrorist was driving by the area when he saw the Palestinian suspect running after the Israeli with a weapon in hand.
After suffering gunshot wounds, the Palestinian man was immediately treated by Israeli medics and taken to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital in critical condition, said Magen David Adom, Israel’s ambulance service.
Although no other injuries were reported, Magen David Adom treated three people at the scene for anxiety.
This thwarted stabbing occurred just days after police prevented another stabbing in Ma’ale Adumim on Friday.
