Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh hinted that the Gaza-based terror group will seek to internationalize its campaign against Israel following the assassination of a one of its drone experts in Malaysia.

Fadi Mohammad al-Batsh was an expert in electrical engineering and drone technology. He was on his way to a mosque in Kuala Lumpur when he was shot to death by two unknown assailants who escaped on a motorcycle.

The Malaysian deputy prime minister said that his government was investigating the possible involvement of “foreign agents” in the assassination.

Hamas has acknowledged that al-Batsh was a member of the organization’s terrorist wing.

Speaking at al-Batsh’s mourning tent, Haniyeh officially blamed Israel for the shooting and implied that Hamas’ terrorist war on Israel will now expand.

“Israel has an open account with the Palestinians,” he said. “It has moved the war overseas.”
