Ma’an reports that the committee behind the Gaza riots has decided not to end them on Tuesday as originally planned, but to extend them to June 5, the anniversary of Jerusalem’s reunification.
The High Coordination Committee for the March of the Return says that the riots will continue as they have been, especially on Fridays. This committee is the one that called for a general strike in Gaza on Monday and Tuesday, so it must be linked with Hamas or else no one would have listened.
By wanting the riots to continue, Hamas clearly indicates that it likes how well they are going, meaning that Hamas wants to see more people die.
In the cynical world that Hamas lives in, people being shot is a small price to pay for negative media coverage of Israel.
