Rappers Cardi B and Rich the Kid performed at two separate extravagant bar mitzvahs in New York City over the weekend, Page Six reported.
Howard Lutnick, the CEO of the financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald, hired Rich the Kid and DJ Irie to perform at an over-the-top bar mitzvah celebration that he threw for his son Ryan at the Metropolitan Museum’s Temple of Dendur, the same location as Vogue’s annual Met Gala. One hundred children and 200 hundred adults attended the bash and catering was done by an iconic restaurant in Paris called Caviar Kaspia.
The performance by Kid probably cost “between $200,000 and $300,000,” an insider told Page Six.
Meanwhile downtown, at a restaurant and lounge called Tao, Cardi B performed at celebration for a bar mitzvah boy named Jake, who also had the Knicks City Dancers at his party. Cardi B called the party “epic” on Instagram, according to Page Six, and regarding her fee, a source told the publication that the “Bodak Yellow” singer “wouldn’t get out of bed for less than half a million.”
