Actress Rachel McAdams Attends Eurovision in Israel to Research New Film Role
Canadian actress Rachel McAdams is currently in Israel researching for her upcoming role in the new comedy “Eurovision,” and was photographed at the annual international singing competition, which is taking place this year in Tel Aviv.
The “Spotlight” star posed for a photo on Wednesday with Eurovision host Assi Azar, which was posted on Instagram by Raz Shechnik, the media and music correspondent for Yedioth Ahronoth.
The 40-year-old McAdams is set to play an Icelandic singer in a film about the singing contest written by comedic actor Will Ferrell. It will be released on Netflix and is set to be filmed this summer in London, according to Variety.
Ferrell is a fan of Eurovision and was introduced to the contest by his Swedish-born wife, Viveca Paulin, The Jerusalem Post reported. The actor and director also attended Eurovision last year in Lisbon, Portugal, where Israeli singer Netta Barzilai won.
