Official Palestinian Authority (PA) TV added a new blood libel to its growing inventory, saying that Jews who were on the Temple Mount during the Jewish holiday of Shavuot brought with them “bloodstained bread used for religious rituals.”
In fact, the Jewish visitors were symbolically carrying out the Biblical Shtei HaLechem offering, which consists of two loaves of bread baked from the very first wheat harvest of the season:
Official PA TV narrator: “A sight that viewers described as the most dangerous in decades… A group of extremist settlers (i.e., Jews) attempted to break into [the Al-Aqsa Mosque] courtyards (i.e., the Temple Mount)… while carrying what is called ‘the two loaves offering’ … The offerings brought into Al-Aqsa were pieces of bloodstained bread used for religious rituals by the alleged Temple organizations, which are groups that have been trying for years to revive rituals they see as part of the alleged Temple ceremonies.” [emphasis added]

This is a continuation of the Palestinian Authority’s antisemitic demonization of Jews and echoes medieval blood libels.
Palestinian Media Watch recently documented another libel according to which “Talmudist Zionists … [are] carrying out the rituals of sanctifying the spilling of blood of the non-Jews.”
