Security-camera footage of an Israeli soldier being stabbed was released by a Palestinian network on Sunday, the Israeli news site nrg reported.
Al-Quds TV said the video shows “the initial moments of the stabbing of a soldier from the occupation by two martyrs,” identified as the brothers 17-year-old Mohammad Rafiq Hussein Sabana and 23-year-old Nureldin Mohammad Sabana from the Palestinian city of Qabatiya in the West Bank.
The footage shows the two Palestinian men walking by the store’s entrance and an IDF soldier approaching them. As the soldier draws near, one of the men pulls an object out of his pocket and attacks. In the next frame, the perpetrator is seen lying on the ground.
The two assailants were shot and killed by Israeli security forces in the area.
The soldier whom they attacked was lightly wounded in the face, while another was moderately wounded in the thigh by friendly crossfire. The two soldiers were evacuated to the Rabin Medical Center (Beilinson) in Petah Tikvah. In response to the attack, the IDF increased the number of its forces in the town.
