An Iranian official accused the United States of sabotaging the nuclear deal with world powers through its recent visa waiver bill, the pro-regime Mehr News Agency reported on Wednesday.
Referring to the Congressional decision, which excludes Iran from visa waivers, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said the US should expect an Iranian response to this “violation” of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
“They should know that we are closely watching their actions,” he warned, adding, “Up to now, Iran has not been on the losing side of the agreement; we now can sell our enriched material and have secured a closed PMD [investigation into the potential military dimensions of Iran’s nuclear program],” despite continuing uncertainty regarding the future impact on the Islamic Republic of the deal’s implementation.
