ABC – Libyan opposition forces are making major advances, recapturing two key oil facilities amid reports that Moammar Gaddafi’s key stronghold of Sirte has fallen to the rebels.
In the last 48 hours, rebels have blown through 300 miles of Gaddafi-held territory.
This morning, they claim to control the Libyan leader’s hometown of Sirte, which is located halfway between the rebel-held east and the government-controlled west.
