Hundreds Turn Out in Support of Assad, Hezbollah at Australia Rally (VIDEO)

Hundreds of Syrians and left-wing activists assembled in Sydney, Australia Sunday in a show of support for beleaguered Syrian leader Bashar Al-Assad. Waving Syrian flags, as well as flags of Lebanese terror group Hezbollah, the protestors accused the U.S., the U.K., and Israel of seeking to destabilize Syria. A popular sign at the rally showed the flag of the Syrian revolutionary forces modified with Jewish stars of David replacing the five-pointed Arab stars.
According to Israeli Daily Maariv, Chinese, Russian and Iranian citizens also participated in the rally. A large banner prominently read “Syrian community in Sydney, let the whole world hear, Syria is our nation, Bashar is our leader.”

In September, a protest against the “Innocence of Muslims” film in Sydney turned violent, leading to the use of capsicum gas and police dogs by a riot police squad which broke the protest up, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. Australia is home to some 10,000 people of Syrian descent.
A video of the protest shows a large crowd parading down a Sydney street, carrying Syrian flags and displaying large posters of terror chief Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah.
