The largest private US university with a Jewish heritage, Touro College in New York is a hub of Jewish life. The urban school offers Jewish Studies degrees and an opportunity for students to study abroad at Touro College in Israel. Touro is closed for all Jewish holy days, and professors are even encouraged not to give tests on minor fast days. The school has a sizable Jewish community and a chapter of Students Supporting Israel, an Israel advocacy club. There is no discernible anti-Zionist or antisemitic activity on campus.
