With an entirely Jewish student body, Yeshiva University bills itself as “rooted in Jewish thought and tradition.” Indeed, when it comes to combining a secular education with traditional religious study, there are few options better than this flagship school of the modern Orthodox movement. Based in the heavily-Jewish neighborhood of Washington Heights in Manhattan, YU students are spoiled for choice when it comes to minyans, synagogues, and good kosher dining options. Anti-Zionist sentiment is also nearly nonexistent among the mostly religious and traditional Jewish student body. (Photo credit: Wikipedia.)
