The former COO of tech giant Meta, Sheryl Sandberg has undergone a profound transformation in the last year, having embraced her Jewish and Zionist identities in the aftermath of the Oct. 7 Hamas assault. As well as speaking out for Israel in various public forums, Sandberg produced a searing film, "Screams Before Silence," documenting the harrowing experiences of the women and girls raped and sexually violated by Hamas terrorists on that dark day. Sandberg also took aim at the myriad women's rights advocates and organizations that remained silent or even denied these atrocities. "If in this moment, our politics make us so blind that we are denying or facing with silence rape — clear rape of victim after victim after victim that was murdered, we lose too much. And so I was trying to say exactly one thing, which is that rape is not resistance. Ever. Under any circumstances," Sandberg declared in an address to the Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly in November 2024.
