I offer to my readers a change of pace that I hope will bring some joy for the Pesach (Passover) Holiday. Here are links to two original songs that I wrote a number of years ago. Both can be heard and viewed on YouTube. The first, which is based on Psalm 23 is entitled “He Leads Me.”
The second featured song I wrote shortly after I made aliya in the summer of 1993. For those of you who don’t remember, that was the time of the signing of the Oslo Accords. I was privileged to witness first hand how “peace” broke out in Israel.
This song, which is called “Just A Simple Jew,” is dedicated to the memory of two of my friends who were murdered by Islamic suicide bombers while I was living in Israel: Dr. David Applebaum and Rabbi Yechezkel (Scotty) Goldberg. I also dedicate it to the memory of all the “Kedoshai Hashalom” – “Martyrs of the Peace” May God avenge their blood and may we see the final redemption soon in our days. Chag Sameach to all.
