Israeli Startup Unveils 24-Hour Smartphone Charger
by JNS.org
Israeli startup Powermat Technologies launched a new 24-hour power transmitter for smartphones.
The “24 Hour Power System,” introduced by the Duracell Powermat, LLC joint venture on Monday, contains a Powermat charging station that plugs into wall outlets. Users then charge their smartphones in the Powermat.
Additionally, through the “Duracell Powermat Portable Backup Battery,” which is small enough to fit in your pocket or purse, users receive one full charge while on the go. The Powermat “knows just the right amount of energy your phone needs and it stops sending power when your phone is fully charged, helping to eliminate energy waste,” according to a press release.
“Even while we rely on our [wireless] devices to do so much more, battery power fails to keep pace with our needs…until today,” said Ran Poliakine, CEO of Powermat Technologies. “From now on, mobile will mean truly mobile.”
