Elmo, the beloved Sesame Street character, has an impersonator, and he’s anti-Semitic. It wasn’t the first time a man wearing an Elmo costume was caught spewing anti-Semitic slurs inside Manhattan’s Central Park, but it happened again on Sunday.
After being kicked out of the Central Park Zoo, park-goers – including those who took to Twitter to discuss the matter – witnessed the Elmo impersonator yelling obscenities and anti-Semitic remarks.
Authorities took the Elmo wannabe into an ambulance once they were alerted to the disturbance.
A video posted on YouTube nearly a week before Sunday’s incident, which can be seen below, shows Elmo in Central Park disseminating his anti-Semitic views.
