According to reports on English-language Israeli news site Ynet.com, a Jewish man in his thirties was stabbed in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Ras-al-Amud Friday evening.

He was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.

According to the report the man’s assailants were two Palestinian Arab youths. They were not apprehended and security forces are searching the area.

The man testified immediately following the attack that he was walking in the street when he felt a harsh blow and then a searing pain in his back which turned out to be a stab wound.

Ynet.com reports that an eyewitness said that the man was walking in the street with another man, on their way to the nearby Ma’ale HaZeitim neighborhood, when the two assailants attacked him, stabbed him and fled.

MDA spokesman Zaki Heller told Ynet that,”When the paramedics arrived at the scene, they found a man bleeding from a deep stab wound to the torso. He was fully conscious and was treated on the scene before being taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in stable condition.”
