Ynet – A day after the latest alleged Israeli strike in Damascus, the New York Times revealed additional details on the targets of the attack.

The attack struck several critical military facilities in some of Syria’s most tightly secured and strategic areas, killing dozens of elite troops stationed near the presidential palace, a high-ranking Syrian military official told the newspaper.

    If the report is accurate then a campaign of ethnic cleeansing is being carried out in the coastal area of Syria.This is a necessary prerequisite prior to a major repositioning of Assad’s forces along the coast.
    If the campaign continues it would mean that the window of operations preparation is short for Israel.
    That repositioning must be stopped at any cost to prevent a Hezbollah-Alawite state from being created. A stste that stretches from the Israeli border to Turkey along the coast.Such a new creation may be afforded immediate recognition by at least one major power.
