Ynet – President Barack Obama has told Iran’s President Hassan Rohani in an exchange of letters that the United States is ready to resolve its nuclear dispute with Iran in a way that allows Tehran to show it is not trying to build weapons, the White House said on Wednesday.

“In his letter the president indicated that the US is ready to resolve the nuclear issue in a way that allows Iran to demonstrate that its nuclear program is for exclusively peaceful purposes,” said White House spokesman Jay Carney.

An emendation: I deem that there is an immense burden on this current President of the United States not to lose sight of the impact he and his administration and the United States Congress will have on history; therefore, what is decided in the next year will lay the groundwork for an everlasting claim the Free World has on human record. President Obama’s precursor and mentor, President Abraham Lincoln addressed Congress on December 1, 1862, in Washington, DC, with the following unforgettable caveat:
“. . .The dogmas of the quiet past, are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise — with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country.
Fellow-citizens, we cannot escape history. We of this Congress and this administration, will be remembered in spite of ourselves. No personal significance, or insignificance, can spare one or another of us. The fiery trial through which we pass, will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the latest generation. . . .”
The present course in treating foreign policy both in regard to North Korea and Iran and Syria of this Obama administration smacks of sophomoric arrogance amidst a possibly amnesiac case of mental orchitis. As a fellow Illinoisan, I am trembling in apprehension about what may very well be a calamitous forthcoming future.

What is the truth relating to Syria and its chemical weapons stockpiles and Iran and its nuclear program. Here is a brief analogy from my English Composition I 10:00 AM classroom experience on Monday, September 16, 2013. About two-thirds through the class session students were afforded time to work on a written assignment based on recounting a spontaneous past obstreperous voice interrupting their conversation with a friend, and their method of explaining how they dealt with this unfortunate and unexpected interruption. I explained to the class that Dr. Eric Berne had designed a paradigm for most human behavior in the child-adult-parent format. Such a paradigm could help them explain why some untoward juvenile statement might have cropped up in a conversation as if a “sidh” were sending a message. Here is the deal vis-a-vis President Obama’s escapades with Assad and Rouhani: placating evil deeds and machinations perpetrated or planned by Machiavellian leaders will backfire big time as was exemplified by Chamberlain and Hitler and FDR in his inexcusable refusal to order the bombing of the tracks leading to Auschwitz and other nearby death camps. There are no pacts with the Devil. History will repeat itself on a scale never before witnessed by humankind and G-d if Syria and Iran are not contained in the near future. By engaging as well as striving to appease those who would deceive all that is good and right in this world, especially regarding the sanctity and dignity of every human life, President Obama will not have earned his Nobel Peace Prize: he will have tarnished the title President of the United States forever.
