Michael Federmann
Board chair of Elbit Systems
Michael Federmann, known to the public as the head of the Dan Hotels chain, also chairs the board of Elbit Systems, which produces defense electronics. Because of his role with Elbit, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2014 appointed him an Honorary Commander of the British Empire, in recognition of the key role he has played in promoting business cooperation between the United Kingdom and Israel. The honor, about which he said he felt privileged to contribute to the safety and security of Great Britain, is not a first for Federmann. He also serves as honorary consul of the Ivory Coast; he also is president of the Israeli-German Chamber of Commerce.
