Politico – Michael Oren is feeling the heat for an essay he published in Foreign Policy Friday professing to understand President Barack Obama’s attitude towards Islam.

In an approximately 2,000-word article entitled “How Obama Opened His Heart to the Muslim World,” the former Israeli ambassador to the U.S. wrote that in his former position he spent a significant amount of time trying to understand Obama’s worldview.

    The job of a diplomat is to be diplomatic. Oren as former ambassador to the USA should be diplomatic and leave his role as an historian assessing the Obama years until Obama has retired. Netanyahu is right to keep out of this unseemly row. Personally I worry more about the influence of decades of hearing Rev Jeremiah Wright and his ‘G-d d— America’ theology!
