Hip-Hop Artist Lil Wayne Recommends Kosher Wine to Fans for Valentine’s Day

American hip-hop artist Lil Wayne suggested on Monday that his fans treat their significant others to a glass of kosher wine on Valentine’s Day.
The “Lollipop” singer posted on Facebook a photo of the slightly bubbly Italian white wine, with the caption, “Fellas Valentine’s Day is coming up. Have a glass of Bartenura Moscato with your lady and thank me later!”
The Grammy award-winner is not the first non-Jewish performing artist to promote the kosher wine, containing a mere 5% alcohol and described by the company as “semi-sweet, with lingering pear, tangerine, nectar and melon flavors on the finish.”
DJ Khaled drank from a bottle of Bartenura in his 2011 music video, “I’m On One,” and Jewish-Canadian rapper Drake sang about sipping “a glass of Moscato” in his song, “Do It Now,” which was released in 2015.
St. Valentine’s Day, a Christian holiday that has come to be celebrated by some Jews for its cultural symbolism, is on February 14.
