JNS.org – Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called on the Palestinians to start another violent intifada against Israel, claiming the country’s government is a “cancerous tumor” that must be confronted.
“The people of Palestine have no option other than keeping the flames of fighting alight by relying on Allah the Exalted and by relying on their innate capabilities, as they have genuinely done so until today,” Khamenei said, according to a translation of a speech on his website.
“[B]y Allah’s permission, we will see that this intifada will begin a very important chapter in the history of fighting and that it will inflict another defeat on that usurping regime [Israel],” Khamenei said Tuesday, Reuters reported.
Khamenei made the comments during a two-day conference in Tehran attended by delegates from some 80 countries, which focused on Iranian support for the Palestinians amid growing tensions with the United States and Israel over the mullahs’ ballistic missile and nuclear programs.
The Iranian leader also denounced “compromise strategies,” referring to the two-state solution, and advocated for “all-out resistance.”
“The Palestinian intifada continues to gallop forward in a thunderous manner so that it can achieve its other goals until the complete liberation of Palestine,” Khamenei added.
