‘Bachelor’ Star Has Jewish Wedding at Synagogue in Texas

A “Bachelor” alum had a traditional Jewish wedding in Houston, Texas on Sunday.
Reality television star Erica Rose, 35, and Texas-based investor Charles Sanders had their wedding at Congregation Emanu El with about 300 people in attendance. Rose’s father escorted her down the aisle while she held her daughter Holland in her arms as they walked toward a pink and white chuppah in the synagogue’s sanctuary, a source told E! News. A formal cocktail reception was then held at their synagogue, featuring a string quartet and harpist, followed by a second reception at a converted movie theater called the Majestic Metro. The insider said the “totally non-traditional” and “fun” celebration was Studio 54-themed.
Rose, who was on season 9 of “The Bachelor,” posted on Instagram a video of her dancing the hora — which she called “one of my favorite Jewish wedding traditions” — at her bash and a clip of her and Sanders kissing under the chuppah.
Sanders is seen wearing a cherry-red kippah, which matched the color of Rose’s bridesmaids dresses, and the crowd was clapping as the Jewish song “Siman Tov, Mazal Tov” played on the loudspeaker.
