An Israeli backpacker visiting California competed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Thursday for a chance to upgrade from his hostel to a luxurious hotel suite.
Aviv and another tourist from Denmark, who both were staying at a nearby youth hostel, competed in a skit for the late night talk show called Hostel La Vista. The two travelers had to answer questions about California and the competitor who answered the most questions correctly won a stay at the famous Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
Aviv did not win the hotel stay, but got a gift basket that included noise-cancelling headphones, hand sanitizer and a teddy bear “to rock you to sleep tonight,” Kimmel said.
