A French sailor stranded in the Mediterranean Sea was saved on Thursday night by the Israeli Navy, the IDF said.
In a tweet on Friday, the Israeli military noted the sailor — whose name was not given — “was lost at sea for weeks with a broken radio and no steering system.”
“Our soldiers came across his boat near the Gaza Strip, rescued him, and took him for medical treatment,” the tweet continued. “May he make his way home safely soon!”
