Former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley — known for her strident defense of Israel during her two-year stint in Turtle Bay — visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Wednesday.
The 47-year-old Haley, often touted as a potential future Republican presidential candidate in the post-Donald Trump era, was in the Jewish state to participate in the “Israel Hayom Forum for US-Israel Relations,” set to take place on Thursday in the Israeli capital.
Haley — who served as governor of South Carolina for six years before taking the UN job — tweeted a picture of herself praying at the Western Wall, writing, “Giving thanks for the many blessings in my life.”
