Why did U2’s lead singer and noted philanthropist Bono just spend time in Tel Aviv and Jaffa? No one know’s for sure since the trip’s details have been kept private but the Haaretz newspaper suggests an investment the singer made in the technology company Dropbox or participation in “an international peace conference” could be reasons for the visit.
U2 last performed in Israel in 2007.
