JNS.org – The Obama administration will not accept Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal for American recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, a senior White House official told Haaretz, following Netanyahu’s meeting with President Barack Obama at the White House earlier this week.

White House officials said that due to instability in Syria, changing the Golan Heights policy could cause complications in U.S.-Syria relations.

“I think that it was clear the U.S. is not going to change its position about the future of the Golan. We always said it has to be negotiated in line with [U.N. Security Council resolutions] 242 and 338. This has been and remains our position and it will not change,” one official stated.

Another White house official affirmed that changing the U.S. position on the Golan Heights could put the opposition in Syria in a “very awkward position,” and that “it will expose the opposition to regime accusations that they are allies with people who want to give up the Golan.”

This nation was founded off Christian principles and thus we are a Christian nation. Our current president has said we are no longer just a Christian nation.

I would remind The POTUS that every time any nation has denied Israel the land that God has given them, God in his covenant has spited that nation. Just look at US history and when one of our presidents spoke against Israel. I just pray that this decision directly affects the ones making that decision and not the people that support Israels claims.

We are ONLY a Christian nation and allow alien’s of other religions to live amongst us. No president can change this. Just read the bible. For this I am truly sorry that I voted for this man.

    Yours Truly

Everyone knows if Israel would abandon the Golan Heights they are toast. If Israel would be forced to comply with anything in line with U.N. Dictates they may as well get on a train to the nearest gas chamber. This hell hound has torn up the house and has been caught, he is on his best behavior but never forget he is a hell hound hired to rip Israel to prices. Cold day in hell before he would recognize your sovereignty over the Golan Heights. One thing you have he doesn’t and that is God covering your back. That is very upsetting to him…it’s very hard to end run God. He will enevitably understand this as his empire collapses around him.

Complications in our relations with Syria? What Syria? What Syrian government?

Recognition of Israeli annexation of the Golan after Syria’s attempt to extermine Israel in the 1967 war is long overdue. Failure of prior U.S. administrations to recognize the Golan, and “east” Jerusalem, as integral parts of Israel shows that whether Republican or Democratic the Administration, the U.S. favors Arab sensibilities over Israeli lives
