Jewish entrepreneur and former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel said on Tuesday that her emergency relief initiative called BStrong has raised $750,000 worth of humanitarian aid and supplies to help Israel as it continues to fight a war against the Hamas terrorist group.
“Our cargo planes are being filled with aid and will be en route to Israel and our teams are in action to help anyone in need … Money and aid directly to the people is our model,” Frankel wrote on Instagram, alongside a carousel of photos that include a picture of the pallets being prepared for Israel. The cargo boxes include items such as “sustenance, supplies, medical, construction, pets, baby/female products, hydration, children’s entertainment, and anything needed after a catastrophe resulting in tremendous loss,” she added.

BStrong, an initiative in partnership with the nonprofit organization Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), provides emergency assistance and humanitarian aid worldwide to people in need. It hopes to reach $1 million in aid for Israel.
GEM said on Tuesday that its team has already distributed items such as blankets, clothing, hygiene kits, and food in some kibbutzim in the north and south of Israel that took in people evacuated from other areas. The nonprofit also sent medical supplies to local health facilities caring for wounded civilians, and 140 pallets of emergency supplies are being shipped from its headquarters in Florida to Israel by cargo planes and by sea.
“We have a large team of established partners and experienced volunteers on the ground, distributing local aid to southern communities in Israel,” GEM added. “We also have a volunteer team of former military experts mobilizing in anticipation of a monumental Palestinian refugee crisis unfolding parallel to the hundreds of thousands of Israelis who fled from their homes to whom we also offer aid to. GEM MENA teams are also mobilizing from our Turkey branch.”
“We at GEM wholeheartedly condemn the horrific attacks taking place & stand against terrorism,” the organization concluded by saying.
BStrong most recently helped when the Maui wildfires were raging in Hawaii earlier this year.
In March 2022, the group raised $25 million worth of humanitarian aid and supplies, as well as $10 million in cash, for Ukrainian refugees fleeing their country during its war with Russia. The initiative launched in 2017.
